Travel Fashion Love: Orvis Dress and Shirt

“I received complimentary product from Orvis for this review.”

Along for the ride to my trip to Israel were two new fashion pieces that have quickly become some of my travel fashion favorites. Orvis is a brand that I’ve known for outdoor wear and styles that prove functional and fashionable. Their new women’s spring line features actively practical, always functional fun gear for all weather conditions, and key pieces to layer into your existing wardrobe. This is a perfect fit for my job as a travel blogger since I need to look nice while traveling, but also feel comfortable.

I was immediately drawn to many of the styles in the new collection, they seem to be perfect for day trips or weekend getaways, but my first pick was the Florence Travel Dress. This was exactly what I was looking for to explore cities, from strolling through a through streets and beautiful cathedrals to elegant dinners at night. The Florence popover travel dress is wrinkle resistant, quick-drying, and moisture wicking, with the poly blend adding just the right amount of stretch and UPF 50 sun protection. Plus I can attest that it did pack well and I was able to wear it straight out of the suitcase where it had been roll packed away for 5 days. It’s perfect for exploring your next travel destination in clothes that look sophisticated while still meeting your demands for adventure, I can’t wait to pack it again for my next trip.

My second pick for a new travel fashion piece and something for my Israel trip was the Lightweight Linen Patch Pocket Shirt. This seems to be a classic wardrobe piece that has been lacking in my closet, so I decided to give the Orvis white linen shirt a try. I am in LOVE! This shirt is even better than the photos, with a flattering cut and fit, plus a very soft textured feel. I did not want a scratchy feeling shirt, and this one did not bother me at all. While the linen is not as travel packing friendly as the travel dress above, after a few quick water on the hand passes and hanging to dry overnight, the shirt was ready to wear for a day full of touring.

I am now in love with the Orvis brand and can’t wait to add more pieces to my collection!
