UGOBAGS Suitcase Review & Kickstarter Campaign
I just returned from attending the SNAP! blogging conference (more on that soon!), and I was lucky enough to take along a new piece of luggage for the trip. UGOBAGS are a brand new company that specialize in customized suitcases. They sent me my very own personalized suitcase for the trip, so I could review their new luggage. They have a Kickstarter campaign launching today, April 29th, so you’ve got a chance to get a great deal on your own UGOBAGS suitcase.
First off, let’s talk about what makes UGOBAGS so unique. You can truly customize your luggage by placing a photo on the suitcase and choosing the colors of the suitcase components. No more standing at the baggage claim and wondering, “is that one mine?” With your own photo and colors, you’ll know which suitcase is yours!
I personalized my suitcase with an image I created to represent my stuffedsuitcase.com blog. The main colors for my site are teal, green, and magenta, so I was able to choose a variety of those colors for the suitcase components to make it the perfect representation of my brand during travels.
When the suitcase arrived I was really impressed with the quality of the construction. And it’s so light! The spinner wheels are very smooth and the pull (trolley) handle works well and appears to be well-formed. One of my favorite parts of the suitcase is the fact that each of the interior side compartments has a cover piece that fastens over your stuff. I’ve had other hard-sided suitcases that only have one side with a cover and if I happen to open the wrong side up, then my packed stuff can fall out. Having both sides covered is a huge plus in my book. In addition to the zipper and clip cover pieces, each side also includes the traditional fabric snap belt as well.
Imagine placing a favorite family photo or customize the UGOBAGS with colors to represent a favorite sports team on one of these suitcases for a perfect Mother’s Day or Father’s Day gift. Or, promote your business or brand while you travel by personalizing with your logo. Hurry and head over to Kickstarter to grab a deal for your own UGOBAGS customized suitcase. The first 30 to order even get a bigger deal than the already great Kickstarter deal price.
Enjoy my video review, and please feel free to ask me any questions!

Kim, love your new suitcase! I’m with you…don’t want luggage that opens and everything falls out from the top half! Nice to find a hard case suitcase that is light weight too. Looking forward to hearing about your SNAP conference!
Thank you Gracia! I really love simple and functional luggage. :) By the way, my SNAP! recap is up now!
Awesome suitcase. I will have to keep this in mind for future luggage purchases! I really like the inside organization of it and your design. Makes bags more recognizable as well, which is great. I personally have never had hard luggage but am considering it since mind is torn up with strands hanging all over the place!
Hey Angela, yeah, when you start having strands hanging off it might be a good time to get a new one. I have soft-sided and hard-sided, and both have their pros and cons. Having the two covers on each side on the UGOBAGS definitely helps address some of the cons I’ve had with other hard-sided pieces.
Carry on size is too big for most airlines. How can they make such a big mistake?Your comment?
I was able to use it on Alaska Airlines and Southwest. If it is too big for most carry-on size allowances on other airlines that is disappointing and a problem. Perhaps the company will look at adjusting the sizes when the do a revamp of the lineup. They just started up so I’m sure they would love to hear the feedback from consumers!
