Summer Reading Challenge: 6 Week Activity Book for Kids

Summer Reading Challenge: Read & Go 2014 - 6 week activity book for kids to discover fun books and family activities | StuffedSuitcase.com #ReadGo2014Today is the start to the 2014 Read & Go Summer Reading Challenge. I can’t wait to discover new books and explore fun activities with my girls. I hope you’ll join myself and Walking on Travels as we dive into some new books and activities ourselves and with our kids. The great thing about the Read & Go Challenge is that kids, adults, and families can all take part in the adventure.

If you have kids, I’ve created a fun activity book for them. My hope is that your kids (and my own) will be excited to explore each activity and complete each “task” for the week and log their successes. At the end of the six-week journey, we’ll have an award certificate you can print out for your children to congratulate them on their accomplishments.

The activity book isn’t just for kids though! Each week has three tasks that I hope will help give you ideas on how to spend family time together and start your summer off right with some great memories.

Whether you’re doing the Read & Go 2014 challenge with your family or by yourself, we want to celebrate summer with you. Please share your photos with us and use the hashtag #ReadGo2014. We’re looking forward to seeing the books you’re reading and the activities you’re enjoying.

Time to Read & Go! Our first theme is BEACH. Keryn has shared a great beach book list for kids, so print off this Read & Go Kids Activity Book and get started!

Check back often to see our own books, lists, and tips about our summer reading challenge themes, beaches, cities, nature, cooking, animals, and crafts.

  2. Hi! I love this idea, but nothing happens when I click the link. I’m sure it’s my phone, but I don’t have a PC (we moved to a tiny house a couple of years ago.) Could you possibly email me the files? Thank you! I love what you’re doing here!
