  1. I love reading fiction – with the occasional nonfiction or biography thrown in. Lately I seem to be on a total sci-fi kick. Go figure.

  2. I generally read nonfiction. It’s not that I prefer it, but I get too caught up in fiction stories and can’t pull myself away.

  3. Sounds like a great idea. I love fiction. The themes will be a great way to narrow down new books for the kids.

  4. Fiction, definitely. I don’t really have a favorite summer read, but summer is when I get most of my reading done. There’s just so much more time. I really want to win this giveaway so I can have better access to my books! :)

  5. I prefer fiction, usually whatever is on the Best Seller List at the time. Right now, I am looking forward to reading THE TARGET by David Baldacci.

  6. My favorite summer read is The Gift Of Fear. My daughter is off to college and I want to make sure she knows how to stay safe!

    1. Oh Darlene! I love Pride & Prejudice. It’s my favorite novel. :) Have you seen all the movies/series? Which is your favorite? What about all the spin-off novels. I just watched Austenland last month. I’m amazed at how Jane Austen created only a few novels, yet has had the ability to touch and persevere over so many lives and years!

      1. Yes! I love watching the older BBC versions and have seen the more mainstream ones (like with keira knightley). My favorite is the 1995 version with Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth. I also really like the 1980s BBC Miniseries even though it looks more like a stage play. I have to check out that series. I have seen a few inspired movies like Lost in Austen, Jane Austen Book Club, becoming Jane. I know her books just really transcend time and speak to people. Did you like Austenland?

  7. I like both fiction and non-fiction. But in the summer I find I’m ready to relax more, and enjoy fiction more then.
