New Outfits! Back to School Shopping #BTSwithTarget
We’re just a day away from my girls heading back to school! I’m so lucky that they both love school and are looking forward to returning. I think they’re especially excited about their new teachers and classrooms, meeting old and new friends, and wearing their new clothes!
We had a wonderful time shopping at our local Target for all our new back to school clothes and accessories. It’s the perfect place to find a full outfit; clothes, shoes, jewelry, and hair accessories! I wanted to share some of the pictures I took of our fun shopping day and show you the great choices my girls made. Seeing their own unique style come across with their choices is part of the fun. Both of my girls have their own ideas about what they like and as Target says, “Every Little Thing is a Really Big Deal!”
This was the first year I felt like we were on a mother and daughter shopping trip. Making the rounds through Target we checked out the shoes, sunglasses, jewelry, and hair accessories. I loved that we were able to hit one local store and do all our shopping. Heading to the mall with these two normally means spending way too much money and feeling exhausted afterwards! :)

Do you have any back to school shopping traditions? We’re heading for haircuts later today and then the girls will be ready to go for their first day of school! All of our needed school supplies have been purchased and are already waiting in their classrooms. I’d love for you to comment and share any of your own special back to school outfits or traditions from this year.

Sounds super fun! Elisabeth is at the stage where I have to get her approval on all clothing items I purchase for her or the mornings are extremely rough, what with cajoling and begging and manipulating. On MY part (trying to get her to wear whatever it is that I thought she would love and spent too much money on). This year she wanted only dresses, so I just bought a bunch of t-shirt dresses (LL Bean/Land’s End style) and tights and hair accessories. They are comfy and practically indestructible. Of course, I made sure she was okay with every item before ordering.
I’m looking forward to the shopping together stage, (I do almost all shopping online, plus a run to Target ALONE) but I agree – a mall trip with her for everything needed would cost a fortune and would probably result in a few cute outfits, without all the basics and mix and match that are needed to actually get through the next three seasons!
I have to say that I really appreciate that I can now take my girls shopping with me, Kelly! Grace is very particular and I can’t seem to ever quite figure out exactly what she’ll like. I’m always a little hesitant to shop for clothing online just because of the worry over fit and returns. Hope you have a great fall season!
I LOVE Target and am taking my son this Friday – We went to the mall Monday and he didn’t want to partake in shopping. Said he didn’t need any clothes, lol, boys! So we’re going Friday because I would prefer he have more options than not. :) Your girls look adorable! Hope your girls are enjoying the new school year! Take Care Kimberly -Iva
Thanks so much Iva! Hope your shopping adventure with your son went well!
