Photo Scavenger Hunt for Kids
Going along with my spring break posting theme, I’ve created something I’m really excited about! This photo scavenger hunt for kids is perfect for your next family road trip vacation. My girls both have inexpensive (affiliates) digital cameras, and this is such a fun way to give them a task during your travels. I’m all about making memories together while traveling as a family, and I hope this is just another way to capture those moments!
I made this photo scavenger hunt for kids on two pages so you can print it front to back and fold it like a booklet. You might choose to laminate it and use a dry or wet erase marker so you can reuse it on future trips. The front page has a spot (top orange box) for your child to write their name. On the very back you’ll find another box where you can list the dates/location of the family vacation. The left side lists things that could capture memories of what your child sees while traveling. The right side are some ideas that might help capture some great family memories during your trip.

Great idea! I’m pinning this so I have it for our trip to the beach this summer.
Hi Joey! Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope your kids have a great time with the scavenger hunt! And, hope you have a great summer trip!
This is such a great idea! My son isn’t quite old enough for it yet, but I’m pinning it for future reference!
Stopping by from Group 5 of the SITS Spring Fling!
Hi Bethany! Thanks for stopping by & pinning!
Cute! I think these would be simple enough for my oldest to read and then check off. He would love this! Pinning for our next trip.
Thanks Chamisa! Hope it can be a fun experience for him.
This is really fun and a great idea. I’ve pinned this!
Glad you like it, thanks for pinning Maria!
These are cool! I know at least one of my kiddos would enjoy this activity.
Do you have any opinion/experience on a good camera for young children?
Hi Jennifer, sorry I’m a bit behind on responding. I’ve been making fairy costumes for our school play and it took way more of my time than I planned. So glad you like the scavenger hunt! My youngest has a old canon camera that my mom no longer uses, and my oldest has this Kodak Sport Waterproof Digital Camera with 5x optical zoom. The pictures are pretty good for an affordable camera and it’s waterproof, which she loves for beach trips! I’d recommend any canon camera that’s cheap because we’ve always loved them. This Kodak one above works great as well and is definitely priced well for kids.
So excited to use this for our trip in April!
Great Jenn! Hope you have a wonderful trip!
