Mother’s Day is on May 10th, and I’m putting together a great gift basket for my mom to celebrate. I know I often share moments of my life as a mom with my two girls, but I also have a great mom myself. My mom works at a local bank, and she’s often on her feet, so I wanted to put together a nice gift basket for her that would help her relax and pamper her footsies!

Make this DIY peppermint & eucalyptus foot soak to deoderize and pamper tired feet. Makes a great addition to gift baskets. Includes free printable tag!One of the first things I wanted to do was create my own DIY foot soak. Here are the ingredients, so you can make your own!

  • 1/2 cup epsom salt
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1 bag of peppermint tea (remove tea from bag)
  • a few drops eucalyptus oil (adjust for your preference, I used about 3)
  • canning jar (8 oz)

Print off this free printable diy foot soak label and cut it to fit on top of the canning jar lid, then screw on the ring.
Dress your gift up a little more by adding a metal or wooden scoop tied with some nice string or ribbon.

Adding a gift tag to the finished foot soakDIY-Foot-Soak-Free-Printable-giftNote: the tea will slightly tint the water. If you don’t like that, don’t add the tea bag. Instead, add a drop or two of peppermint oil, and a drop or two of eucalyptus to the epsom salt and baking powder mix. Additionally, if you don’t care for the scent of peppermint or eucalyptus, you can substitute with your favorite essential oil.

Once you have your foot soak created, you can put together a wonderful Mother’s Day gift basket for your mom (or grandma). I’m thinking it should be called a Fabulous Feet Gift Basket! I know my mom will love pampering her feet after working all day at the bank; she deserves some nice treats for her tired feet.
