Happy Pupsgiving Placemat: Thanksgiving Dog Food Dining Craft

This Thanksgiving Dog Food Dining Craft is part a sponsored ambassadorship with Wellness CORE pet food.

Fall is here which means it’ll be soon time for us to join around the table and eat! We’ll also talk about what we’re thankful for. For our family, we’re definitely thankful for our pup Sophie, so wanted to create a fun way for her to celebrate the holiday too.

This Happy Pupsgiving placemat is the perfect way to give your own furry friend a little something special. And best of all, it’s easy!

Supplies you’ll need:

  • Brown kraft paper (like this roll)
  • Large tip black marker (like this one)
  • Dishes (I used these glass bowls)
  • Thanksgiving Day Wellness CORE Dog Food
    • Mix it up on what you choose. Wellness CORE has a lot of yummy turkey dishes. Sophie loves the CORE Air Dried Turkey & Chicken and the Superfood Protein Bars

Let’s make our Thanksgiving Day Dog Food Placemat

Cut a piece of the brown kraft paper for you placemat. Mine was about 30″ x 20″

Arrange your dishes around in a shape sort of like a semi-circle. These will be your paw toe prints.

Using a pencil sketch the shape of the main paw pad so that it sits in the space between the dishes. Mine was about 14.5″ at it’s widest and 11″ tall at the middle tallest point.

Turn the dishes over and trace the lips of the bowls with your pencil.

Now using your large black marker, color in the paw print.

Add your own favorite saying along the top, we chose ‘Happy Pupsgiving’.

Once you have your placemat colored and ready to go, you’re ready to pick your pup’s dining location. I used some masking tape rolled in loops on each of the back corners to tape the placemat down to our floor.

Her Thanksgiving placemat and dished food was a success! In case you couldn't tell.

Now it’s time to dish up. Pick some delicious foods, that are healthy too. Wellness CORE dog food is grain-free and packed full of protein. As you can see, we served Sophie a variety of dishes for her Thanksgiving meal. If you look at the Wellness CORE line you’ll find a great variety containing all your classic Thanksgiving foods, like turkey and sweet potatoes.
