My Recent I Spy Travel Items

Are you planning to take your kids on a trip soon? I’ve been running some errands and wanted to share some of my finds that might help you in your travels.

Costco has an answer for moms who are looking for activities to pack for traveling with kids. Their book section has a great selection of kid’s activity books; including school lesson workbooks, popular character books, and reader books. There are many options that can fit almost any interest.

Travel Pack List

If you’re a person who likes cute lists, Target has a travel pack list in their dollar bin section right now. You might have to edit and add to make the list work for you, but it sure is a cute starter point.

Kid’s Rolling Suitcase – $19

Target Kids Suitcase

Target Kids Suitcase

Target is running a sale on their luggage right now (through Saturday May 18th) and it includes a cute Embark Kids Upright Suitcase. $19 (regularly $32.99) for a suitcase is a great deal. It seems to be fairly lightweight, but it has good reviews on Target’s website. I think this would be ideal for a road trip but it might not hold up well to airline baggage handling.

I’ve always suspected that I liked planning for trips almost more than the actual trips, and I really love looking for cool travel items!

I love the Target packing lists - so cute! Too bad we do not have Target in Germany. We bought some workbooks like these Costco ones at BJs while we were in the US. My son loves the math one!

Ah, Target. It is a special store. :). My Canadian family was recently very excited because they have some Targets opening in their city. Shopping at Target is something they always want to do when they come down for a visit. I'm pretty sure my husband would be jealous though of some of the German products and companies you have access to. :)

It really was a cute suitcase, I almost bought it even though we have plenty. I have a bit of a thing about suitcases... :) Not sure if they'll run that sale again, but it's worth keeping an eye out for. I almost always browse the Target travel aisle when I'm not in a hurry.

Oh I so wish I had seen that rolling suitcase for kids on sale earlier! Se la vie. I'll keep an eye out as my daughter who is only 3 loves rolling our suitcase which is MUCH too big for her. I think for road trips it's a great idea! Again we are kindred spirits as I love planning almost, sometimes more, than the trip! So much fun!

Planning is so much fun. I amaze my friends with the stuff I pull out of my brain, and for me it's a hobby that comes naturally. Definitely keep an eye on that suitcase at Target. We have cute Heys Costco sets for our girls that are a perfect size for them. However, we got it on a trip to Canada and I have yet to see them in the states. The zipper pull on one of them broke, but I still love them. They came in a pink and turquoise set so each girl has a different color. Costco sometimes has great luggage finds for a good price!

This is a great list! We are getting ready to head out on a 6-week road trips and I'm definitely going to stock up at Costco. Wondering if I should run out for those suitcases, too...

Wow, 6 weeks! Sounds like fun -- we love road trips! Whereabouts are you headed? The Costco selection is really great. Prices are around the $12 point but some really neat activity books were as low as $5.99 when I took this photo. There's also a grey camo style suitcase that would work for boys, but my Target only had the purple polka dot girl one in stock. You can see both of them on the Target website. Safe travels on your journey!
