Kung Fu Panda 3 Rolls Into Theaters Today
Hitting the theaters today is the third movie for the Kung Fu Panda series featuring all your favorite friends from the past films. This new installment has Po established as the Dragon Warrior, but still a bit lost as to what that means. When he meets his long-lost panda father the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet a whole village of hilarious new panda characters.
But Po’s friends are ready for action as they are faced with a supernatural villain, Kai, and his quest of sweeping across China defeating all the kung fu masters. Po must do the impossible when his master is lost, he must take charge and find a way to turn a bumbling, roll-y group of mountain pandas into fierce warriors.

Great actors bring personality to these characters, Jack Black has an amazing way of personifying Po as a bumbling nobody, but somehow being capable of amazing things when he believes. Angelina Jolie voices Tigress, who comes off as a strong and capable female lead. And J.K. Simmons portrayal of Kai is downright dastardly.
Our family attended the premiere of the movie recently and all four of us enjoyed the film and found it a great movie for families. There is a lot of comedy which will delight both parents and the kiddos, as well as a great story line about finding your purpose and worth.
What our girls thought:
Grace’s Take:
Tigress is really cool, because she is a risk-taker. I liked how the movie had a lot of funny parts in it, even during the action scenes. I thought the movie was fun because it had a lot of cool scenes in it.
Faith’s Take:
My favorite character was Tigress, because she’s very adventurous and she helps people. She sort of warns people and helps people for stuff. And I think the movie was very funny and awesome.
