So, a Burger and some Sushi walked into a bar…
…and your taste buds will forever be thankful! In the heart of the glitz and glamour of the City Walk at the Universal Orlando Resort is a new restaurant with the most amazing concept. The Cowfish serves a packed menu filled with unique and flavorful burgers, artful and delicious sushi, as well as fusion specialties that blend the delights of both.

During our recent trip to Orlando we were invited to visit the newest City Walk restaurant and try this out-of-the-box dining experience. City Walk has a lot to offer if you’re taking a break from theme parks as you can play putt-putt golf, watch a movie, shop at top brand stores, or enjoy a multitude of dining options. There are also four Universal Orlando hotel options onsite.
When you arrive at The Cowfish, you check in at the host(ess) booth that’s at the first/main level of Universal City Walk. While you wait, you can venture down the hall and get a glimpse of the fun pop art undersea feel of the restaurant. There is a jumbo touch screen that allows you to preview the menu and offers kids some unique interactive games.

Once your table is ready, you are shown upstairs to one of the two levels for dining. We were shown to the very top level and had an amazing view of the City Walk activity below. If you’re a fan of people watching, I highly recommend requesting a window table. Just know that The Cowfish is a popular place! We visited on a Friday night, and when we were leaving at 8 pm, the wait was about 45 minutes. On Saturday nights the wait can be even longer, but if there’s a good place to wait, it’s the City Walk. Just next door is the Universal Studios store, so grab a minion or magic wand to pass the time.

All the atmosphere aside, what makes The Cowfish truly amazing is the food. As my husband has repeatedly been quoted as saying, “it’s a flavor explosion”. Here’s a look at the culinary delights we enjoyed.

mini-burger, sweet potato fries, Thai cucumbers, fusion specialty roll (firecracker).

Beef burger, pulled pork, smoked gouda cheese, onion strings, bacon coleslaw, BBQ sauce, lettuce, pickles,
brioche bun
After all this delicious food we had no room left for dessert, which was a disappointment because the cookies and milk are supposed to be a favorite!
The Cowfish seems like the perfect place for a family to eat dinner with great menus that will appeal to adults, kids, picky eaters, and gastro adventurers. If you’re planning to be in Orlando, Florida soon, hopefully you’ll make visiting The Cowfish a part of enjoying a visit to the Universal Orlando Resort!

Thank you to The Cowfish and Universal Orlando Resort for hosting us for our meal!
