School breaks can be a blessing and a curse for parents. It’s nice not to have to hurry your kids off to school and make lunches, plus you can spend some extra bonding time together, but it can also be hard to keep the kids entertained while they’re spending hours at home. My girls get especially bored during the cold, rainy winter months when they can’t play outside all day long.
While we regulate our girls’ screen time, they do enjoy playing on our Wii gaming system, especially with friends. I like that many of the games require them to be a little active. One of the girls’ favorite game series are the Just Dance games, which are one of the games that require movement. We own almost every version they’ve released, so that’s why we were so happy when the newest Just Dance 2016 was released.
One of the reasons my girls like to keep getting the newest Just Dance game is because they feature all the latest hit songs, and they couldn’t wait to open the new version and see what songs it featured. Just Dance 2016 includes more than 40 top hit songs, many that even adults will like. I’m throwing out my best moves to Demi Lovato’s ‘Cool for the Summer’; it’s surprisingly hard work trying to hit all those moves! Just a note that Just Dance 2016 does have a Everyone 10+ rating since some of the songs have suggestive lyrics, so keep that in mind.
My girls’ favorite songs on Just Dance 2016 are the Heartbeat Song by Kelly Clarkson and Same Old Love by Selena Gomez. When you’re faced with trying to keep your kids entertained this winter, this game is the perfect opportunity for them to play on electronics while still being active. It’s also the perfect playdate game for your kids when they invite their friends over.
