Our oldest, Jessie, is 16 years old, and bringing home Sophie was certainly a nuisance for her. Teens can be tricky to buy for, their interests change in the blink of an eye, and often it's hard to even know what they're interested in.

This list of teen Advent calendar ideas should help you find something they'll enjoy opening during the 25 days of Christmas.

Best advent calendars for teens!

Check out my other gift posts with 100+ Christmas gift ideas for teens and stocking stuffers for teens!

[mv_create key="12" type="list" title="Advent Calendars for Teens" thumbnail="https://stuffedsuitcase.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/sephora-advent-calendar.jpg" layout="hero"]

DIY Advent Calendar Ideas for Teens

If you're more of a DIY person and prefer to add a personal touch to your gift-giving, a handmade advent calendar for the teen in your life may be just the ticket. A DIY doesn't have to be difficult.

A simple DIY advent calendar idea would be to combine 24 of your teen's favorite things into numbered cloth bags. Add 24 smaller items like a package of chips, some lip balm, and a favorite movie theater candy to the collection for an advent calendar customized to your teen's specific interests.

Another idea that you can incorporate with teens and tweens is a giving back advent calendar. Create your own bucket list of random acts of kindness or buy a random acts of kindness advent calendar. You can choose to perform RAKs for people in your family or community. Doing one good deed each day truly encompasses the spirit of Christmas.

Consider one of the random acts of kindness that includes lunch at your teen's favorite restaurant for some one-on-one quality time during the busy Christmas season. The memories will live on beyond the holiday season.

Choosing an advent calendar for your teen can be difficult; you just never know what is going to resonate with them. When all is said and done, maybe not this year or even next year, the teen in your life will come to appreciate all the ways you worked to make the holiday season magical.

Awesome teen advent calendar ideas for 2021!
