Guide to the 10 Best Marriott Hotels Near Disneyland Anaheim
If you’re like me and enjoy earning and using hotel brand loyalty points, you’re likely looking for the best Marriott hotels near Disneyland. With several different Marriott properties located within walking distance of the park, you can choose the perfect hotel for your vacation.

I’ve stayed at most of the Marriott hotels in the Disneyland area, so I’ve organized them here to help you decide where you want to stay for your vacation. This post contains affiliate links. I may earn a commission if you purchase from my links.
Why Marriott Hotels?
There are several Marriott-run hotels located just minutes away from Disneyland. Some even offer great Disneyland rooms with views of the park and fireworks. One of the biggest reasons people will choose to stay at a Marriott hotel near Disneyland is because they want to earn or use points for their stay.
Whether you’re looking for an affordable stay or a luxurious experience, there are some great Marriott hotels near Disneyland for most price points. You can find affordable options like the Fairfield Anaheim Resort, family room options at the Residence Inn near the Convention Center, or my favorite luxury options of the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort & Spa and Westin Anaheim.
A quick note about booking your stay. I’m including links directly to Marriott for each of the hotels. Booking with Marriott will enable you to earn points for your stay. I’m also including links to book with my favorite Disneyland travel agent, Get Away Today.
Get Away Today offers packages that include Disneyland tickets and can sometimes save you money over purchasing the hotel and tickets separately. Sometimes the rates and deals Get Away Today can save you more than the points are worth, i.e. discounted parking or breakfast deals. I will note that Marriott does not award loyalty points for stays that are booked with a third party (i.e. Expedia or Get Away Today).
If points earning is important, be sure to book directly with Marriott. I have had success adding my loyalty number to my Get Away Today bookings at Marriott and still being eligible for my status perks.
Marriott Loyalty Program
The Marriott loyalty program, Marriott Bonvoy, can offer members additional benefits when booking a stay at one of the Marriott properties near Disneyland.
Members receive rewards points with their paid stays and some levels of membership offer benefits like breakfast (Platinum and above), upgrades, and late checkouts.
Membership Levels
There are several levels within the loyalty program that can help you earn more points and get additional perks. Membership is calculated according to how many nights you stay at Marriott hotels throughout the year.
Here’s a tip! You can actually qualify for status with a credit card. Many of the Bonvoy credit cards will give you Silver status. The Platinum Card® from American Express and the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy™ American Express® Card will give you Gold status.
But if you want breakfast, plus lounge access (only at JW Marriott Anaheim, Sheraton Park Hotel, Anaheim Marriott, and Westin Anaheim), you’ll want to get the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card which gives you Platinum status (and a lot of other perks) but does come with a high annual fee.
Here are the levels of Marriott Bonvoy for reference:
- Member— 1 to 9 nights a year; free in-room Wi-Fi, mobile check-in, and member rates on rooms
- Silver Elite— 10 to 24 nights a year; free in-room Wi-Fi, mobile check-in, member rates on rooms, and 2 pm late checkout (subject to availability)
- Gold Elite— 25 to 49 nights a year; all Silver Elite benefits plus bonus points and complimentary upgrades
- Platinum Elite— 50 to 74 nights a year; all Gold Elite benefits plus guaranteed lounge access and additional bonus points
- Titanium Elite— 75 to 99 nights a year; all Platinum Elite benefits plus guaranteed lounge access and additional bonus points
- Ambassador Elite— 100 or more nights and $23,000 in qualifying spend per calendar year; all Titanium Elite benefits plus personal concierge service and exclusive gifts.
Marriott Hotels Near Disneyland
There are several Marriott hotel options near the Disneyland Resort. Although the ones on my list are all in close proximity to Disneyland, each hotel offers different amenities.
Starting from the closest Marriotts near Disneyland, these are the best locations at an easy distance to the theme parks:
Fairfield Anaheim Resort

Book on Marriott or Book Get Away Today Disneyland Package
Distance: 0.5 miles from Disneyland Esplanade
Walking Distance: Walk 10 min
Customer Rating on Marriott: 4.1
Dining: No – partnership with Panera Bread (located in the parking lot) for room delivery
Pool: Yes
Parking: $24
This is the absolutely closest Marriott Disneyland hotel. It’s on Harbor and a short walk across the street to the main pedestrian entrance. The guest rooms are basic and have exterior access doors. Some rooms have a Disney mural and face Disneyland but room windows look onto exterior walkways. Rooms do have a mini-fridge.
There is no free breakfast at this location and no dining located on site. They do partner with Panera Bread which is located in the parking lot for delivery to rooms. McDonalds is also next door. There is an outdoor heated swimming pool and hot tub as well as a fitness center.
Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance

Book on Marriott or Book Get Away Today Disneyland Package
Distance: 0.5 miles from Disneyland Esplanade
Walking Distance: Walk 11 min
Customer Rating on Marriott: 4.8
Dining: Yes – The Bistro & Starbucks (breakfast, lunch, dinner), The Market (grab ‘n go snacks)
Pool: Yes + Waterpark
Parking: $35
One of the more popular choices for families but comes at a premium price. Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance is one of my favorite properties! The rooms are spacious, most of them have 2 queen beds and bunk beds, meaning they hold 6 people. You can also book a Disneyland view room and watch the fireworks from your balcony.
The Bistro has excellent food and is extremely convenient for grabbing a bite to eat in the morning or for a mid-day break. Of course, the highlight of this hotel is the waterpark that offers two big waterslides plus a kids’ splash pad complete with a dump bucket.
SpringHill Suites at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center
Book on Marriott or Book Get Away Today Disneyland Package
Distance: 0.7 miles from Disneyland Esplanade
Walking Distance: Walk 16 min
Customer Rating on Marriott: 4.2
Dining: Yes – Free Hot Breakfast, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
Pool: Yes
Parking: $28 ($16 for Get Away Today guests)
Located on the corner of Katella and Harbor, this is the closest Marriott hotel with a free buffet breakfast. It’s a convenient walk straight down Harbor to the pedestrian entrance. Plus, the hotel offers a few different room options including suites with bunk beds. Just keep in mind that the rooms have mini-fridges whereas the Residence Inn (listed below and located next door to SpringHill) has full-size refrigerators and kitchens.
The SpringHill does have a restaurant partner in the hotel, making it convenient for grabbing snacks or sandwiches. It’s also next to a CVS in case you want to stock up on water bottles or snacks for the parks.
Residence Inn by Marriott at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center

Book on Marriott or Book Get Away Today Disneyland Package
Distance: 0.7 miles from Disneyland Esplanade
Walking Distance: Walk 16 min
Customer Rating on Marriott: 4.3
Dining: Free breakfast buffet & lobby bar + free grocery shopping service
Pool: Yes
Parking: $28 ($16 for Get Away Today guests)
Like all Residence Inns, this hotel has spacious suites with separate living and sleeping areas, full kitchens and fridges, and complimentary breakfast each morning.
You can also do laundry here, and it’s located on the corner of Harbor and Katella near a CVS pharmacy. In my opinion, the room furnishings are a bit dated, but it’s still got great reviews and is very popular with families and larger groups. It’s also close to the Convention Center in case you’re attending an event and visiting Disneyland.
Element Anaheim Resort Convention Center

Book on Marriott or Book Get Away Today Disneyland Package
Distance: 0.8 miles from Disneyland Esplanade
Walking Distance: Walk 17 min
Customer Rating on Marriott: 4.2
Dining: Free breakfast buffet only
Pool: Yes
Parking: $22 ($15 for Get Away Today guests)
This is one of my favorite Marriott hotels near Disneyland! It’s perfect for families looking for free breakfast and kitchen suites, allowing them to save money on their Disneyland vacation. The Element is the newest property on the list, it opened in July 2021. The decor and rooms still have that clean, modern look and feel.
Some rooms have a theme park view and you can see the fireworks. It is a little bit of a further walk than the locations listed above and has an extra stoplight crossing. But overall it’s still very walkable in my opinion. There isn’t a restaurant on site, just the complimentary breakfast buffet.
Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim

Book on Marriott or Book Get Away Today Disneyland Package
Distance: 0.8 miles from Disneyland Esplanade
Walking Distance: Walk 17 min
Customer Rating on Marriott: 3.3
Dining: Yes – Tru Grits (breakfast, dinner)
Pool: Yes + small splash pad
Parking: $25 ($0 for Get Away Today guests)
I’ll be honest that this is one of the few Marriott properties I haven’t stayed at, for a couple of reasons. This location, while technically the next closest, is still on the other side of the freeway and involves walking over a bridge across the freeway.
It also has some of the lowest reviews for the Disneyland Marriott hotels, so I’ve avoided it. It does offer one of the most affordable price points if budget is a priority.
JW Marriott Anaheim Resort

Book on Marriott or Book Get Away Today Disneyland Package
Distance: 0.8 miles from Disneyland Esplanade
Walking Distance: Walk 19 min (can cut through Anaheim GardenWalk Mall to save a couple of minutes)
Customer Rating on Marriott: 4.1
Dining: Yes – Tocca Ferro Italian Chophouse, Citriculture poolside, Parkestry Rooftop Bar, JW Market, Club Lounge (access with status or paid room rate)
Pool: Yes (rooftop with cabanas)
Parking: $59 valet only ($30 for Get Away Today guests)
This is the closest luxury hotel to Disneyland (other than the Grand Californian) and one I really like for upscale accommodation. It’s newer with an opening date of August 2020. If you’re used to higher-end properties with dining, this is the spot you’ll want to choose. The rooftop bar is one of my favorite places to hang out, but it does fill up so you’ll want to book a reservation in advance with the front desk.
There is a lounge for platinum+ status members but it has limited hours and I believe alcohol is not complimentary. I visited on a weekend so didn’t get to use the lounge so can’t comment on the food choices but the lounge typically offers breakfast and light snacks in the evenings.
I do enjoy the vibe of this property and our habit was to grab a coffee at the Market in the morning before walking over to the parks. Then for our afternoon breaks, we’d relax in the lovely room, hang out at the pool area, or grab lunch or early dinner at one of the nearby chain restaurants.
Sheraton Park Hotel at Anaheim Resort

Book on Marriott or Book Get Away Today Disneyland Package
Distance: 0.8 miles from Disneyland Esplanade
Walking Distance: Walk 18 min
Customer Rating on Marriott: 3.9
Dining: Yes – Savor Breakfast, Savor Stone Hearth Pizza & Wine, &More, SPLASH Pool Bar, The World Market, Morton’s Steakhouse, Club Lounge (access with status or paid room rate)
Pool: Yes
Parking: $35.17 ($15 for Get Away Today guests)
This hotel just had a full renovation of the interior in mid-2022. The hotel rooms and lobby spaces got a significant uplift. I will say that the property exterior still has a bit of a dated look and feel, but the renovation was a huge improvement to the property.
Sheraton Park also boasts plenty of dining options on-site in case that’s a priority for you. This property is located in the same area as the Residence Inn and SpringHill suites listed above, but just a little bit further. It’s obviously targeted more for the convention center business traveler versus Disney guests. However, some of the rooms do have nice views of the Disney California Adventure Park skyline.
Marriott Anaheim Hotel

Book on Marriott or Book Get Away Today Disneyland Package
Distance: 1.0 miles from Disneyland Esplanade
Walking Distance: Walk 23 min
Customer Rating on Marriott: 4.2
Dining: Yes – nFuse Restaurant, Bar & Lounge, Slice Pizzaria, The Market Cafe, The Concierge Lounge
Pool: Yes
Parking: $30 ($23.93 for Get Away Today guests)
This is what you’d consider a standard large convention center hotel. There are a lot of rooms and it’s located next door to the Anaheim Convention Center. Plenty of food options on site and the pool is a very popular spot in the afternoons. The rooms have balconies and feel quite spacious.
I’ve stayed at this location twice and it’s definitely reaching the end of the walking zone for Disneyland. If you don’t take mid-day breaks and can handle a lot of walking, this is a hotel where you’ll likely find a good rate as long as a big convention isn’t in town. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a Marriott Convention Center hotel.
Westin Anaheim

Book on Marriott or Book Get Away Today Disneyland Package
Distance: 1.1 miles from Disneyland Esplanade
Walking Distance: Walk 24 min (enter via Disneyland Hotel/Downtown Disney, not Harbor) FYI: you can return to the hotel by exiting through the Grand Californian, making it shorter and quicker to return from the parks.
Customer Rating on Marriott: 4.6
Dining: Yes – Tangerine Room, Bar 1030, RISE Rooftop Lounge, Bella’s Splash Pool Bar, Blossom Cafe & Market (attached to the hotel), Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar (attached to the hotel), Puesto (attached to the hotel), Executive Lounge
Pool: Yes
Parking: $35
One of the newest Disneyland Marriott hotels, the Westin Anaheim opened in June 2021. This property is the only one on my list where you’ll walk to the parks via the Downtown Disney Esplanade entrance versus the Harbor Blvd entrance.
While it is the longest distance on my list, you can reduce your distance and time by exiting via the Pixar Place Hotel California Adventure exit, or Grand Californian Hotel California Adventure or Downtown Disney exits. You can’t enter the parks via the hotels’ private entrances (Paradise Pier or Grand Californian), but you can leave through those gates which offer exclusive entrances/exits from Disney’s California Adventure Park.
The Westin is the other luxury property on this list next to the JW Marriott. Just like the JW, the Westin offers modern and clean rooms as well as multiple dining options. The Westin does have a fabulous rooftop lounge that offers great views of the park and fireworks (just check the hours as it currently is only open Sunday-Thursday (no Friday or Saturday).
Getting to Disneyland

First, you’ll likely need to travel to your Disneyland hotel from an airport. The three most popular airports to fly into are SNA (Orange County), LAX (Los Angeles), and LGB (Long Beach). You can rent a car but be prepared to pay parking costs.
You can also use Lyft or Uber for rides to and from the airport but will need your own car seats. Lastly, there are a few shuttle companies, Karmel and Lansky (has car seats) are two trusted names I know.
Getting to Disneyland from your hotel is fairly easy as the properties I’ve listed above are all within walking distance. I will say that the last three can certainly feel farther and are best for individuals who don’t mind walking.
After a busy day in the parks, walking back to the hotel can feel rough. Also, if you’re planning to take mid-day breaks, the farther away your hotel is, the more walking you’ll be doing in addition to all the walking you’ll do in the parks.
It is convenient that Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area and it would be a short drive from one of these hotels to the park drop off. Just be aware that busy times like park closing and the end of fireworks can make the streets clogged and the pickup drive can be backed up.
Lastly, if you enjoy using a transit option, ART (Anaheim Resort Transit) runs regularly on routes all around these best hotels. You’ll need to be sure to plan and time your arrival and departure with an app, but the ART busses can save you from walking. Buy discount passes at Get Away Today.
My Favorite Marriott Hotels for Disneyland Trips
I find that I typically book stays at these Marriott Disneyland Hotels:
- Fairfield Inn Anaheim – best price and closest hotel
- JW Marriott – luxury rooms with rooftop pool and coffee stand in the lobby
- Element Anaheim – lovely new hotel with free breakfast and not too far of a walk
- Residence Inn Convention Center – suites with full kitchens
I will mention that I absolutely LOVE the Courtyard Marriott Theme Park Entrance, but as my kids are older and the waterpark isn’t a priority, the price point typically has me choosing either the JW or Fairfield over this one. But, if you have young kids and plan to eat often at the hotel (the Courtyard Bistro is fabulous) this one would be one of my top recommendations.
Marriott Disneyland Hotels
As you can see, there are a LOT of Marriott Disneyland hotel options. Depending on your priority, i.e. closest, free breakfast, or luxury, there’s an option that will help you keep up your Marriott Bonvoy status while enjoying a Disneyland vacation!
