Just in time for Black Friday and Christmas, you’ve got a chance to win some great prizes that would make great gifts. And, you’ll be helping to build three primary schools and fund three Adult Literacy Programs in the Sikasso Region of Mali, Africa.
Passports with Purpose is a travel bloggers fundraiser that began 6 years ago to reach out and give back to this world we love to travel. This year Passports with Purpose has a goal of raising $115,000 for buildOn, a program whose mission is to break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy and low expectations through service and education. You have the opportunity to donate towards winning one of the fabulous prizes donated. Each donation entry is just $10 and goes towards our goal to raise $115,000.
I’m so excited to take part in this fundraiser and tell you about one of the amazing donations you have the chance to win! The Coast Wenatchee Center Hotel has donated one night’s accommodation for two in a deluxe room with breakfast for two. This is a $169 value prize and can be used until December 30, 2014 (subject to availability). That gives you over a year to plan a trip to the beautiful Wenatchee, Washington region.
The Coast Wenatchee Center Hotel is centrally located at the entrance to historic downtown Wenatchee, and in easy walking distance to local entertainment and shopping. The rooms are beautifully appointed with a view of the river or mountains and free WiFi. You can eat and the Rivertop Bar & Grill with panoramic views of the Wenatchee Valley, and have some fun at the indoor/outdoor pool.
Wenatchee has some fabulous activities year around. If you are looking for a summer trip, it’s the perfect place to do some great wine tasting at one of the many local vineyards. You’ll also see the fresh fruits that are grown in the area, and be able to enjoy some great outdoor recreation. Perhaps you’d prefer a winter visit. The 2,000 acre Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort is a short drive up from downtown. Leavenworth, WA, a town modeled as a Bavarian village, is only a 30 minute drive from Wenatchee and offers some delicious bratwurst, a huge nutcracker museum, and a yearly winter festival.
I hope you’ll visit Passports with Purpose and donate to have a chance to win a great prize. And, even if you don’t win, you can feel good knowing that you helped add to the $115,000 buildOn donation goal. Best of luck!
Thank you to The Coast Wenatchee Center Hotel for your donation, and thank you to the Passports with Purpose 2013 sponsors!
